Batching Systems, Inc offers feeding solutions for your packaging equipment.
Batching Systems, Inc. (BSI) provides feeding solutions for all types of fasteners into bags, boxes and other containers. Whether feeding product to our patented Batchmaster® IV (BMIV) with dual-view scanners for counting or our Weighmaster® Fast Automatic Weighers (FAW) for weigh-counting, our packaging and processing equipment utilizes feeding equipment. Feeding of product is the most critical component of all of our solutions. At BSI we several universal feeding solutions that can run a wide range of products. There is no one-size-fits-all feeding solutions but our adjustable feeders is a better solution then having a custom tooled feeder for each product. BSI utilizes a variety of feeding systems that we integrate with our equipment to provide the best solution for your specific requirements. That is why it is important to find a company that engineers a system for your applications instead of trying to fit your application to an off-the-shelf system.
One of our latest systems for a five station hardware kit packaging line utilized two dual Batchmaster® IV continuous product counting systems, a manual pack-off station, a bucket conveyor, a Bagmaster® 250 Vertical Form, Fill, and Seal machine, takeaway conveyor, checkweigher, and 2nd bag takeaway conveyor with bag counter. The hardware is feed out of a universal bulk hopper into a high-speed bowl dual axis bowl feeder. Adjustable rails and wipers are used to feed the dual view counter with cingulated hardware or product. The bowl feeder has independent horizonal and vertical controls that allows the operator to electronically tune the feeder for different size, weight, and shape parts. Our BMIV counter uses a patented dual view scanner and servo motor gating system to divide the parts into set batch counts. The scanner verifies the volume size of each part. The gates divide and stage batches of product for discharge into an indexing bucket conveyor that transfers a completed kit to a VFFS bagger. The bagger forms a bag around the parts and drops it onto a cleated take-away conveyor. This adjustable speed conveyor feeds the bag onto a check weigher. The check weighers verifies the weight of each bag, rejection bad bags while allowing good bags to feed onto a 2nd bag transfer conveyor that feeds a bag counter. The bag counter counts out the correct number of bags into bulk boxes. The packaging line has kit management software with bar code reader allowing for an automatic download of all saved settings to the bagger, counters, and conveyor. These settings which are stored as recipes can be loaded manually by typing the election into the HMI located at the bucket conveyor, scrolling down to the selection, or scanning it via a bar code reader. The software keeps track of production run speeds and down times along with faults or stops. It also shows you what counter is the constraint on speed, and which one has the highest number of faults. This allows you to improve production efficiencies and highlights any issues causing reduction of production.
Batching Systems, Inc. also provides feeding systems for bulk product filling, product marking, clamshell filling, along with refurbished equipment and upgrade packages that are half the price of new equipment. In today’s industrial environment upgrading equipment increases process performance in very discernible ways – from increased capacity and reduced energy costs to higher efficiency and decreased maintenance and downtime. These are precisely the types of advantages you can expect to experience after upgrading your existing counting, weighing or bagging systems to the latest Batching Systems platform. If you are tired of costly repairs or need more equipment up-time and higher throughput our Batchmaster® Counter and Weighmaster® FAW upgrade is for you. Batching Systems, Inc. has over 33 years of experience providing feeding systems. Our core product line is designed and engineered for feeding and handling fasteners. Our experience in dealing with difficult products over the last 30 years has driven us to develop a wide range of feeding options which include 6 patents for product handling.
